Our terms and conditions govern entrants’ participation in the competition. By participating in and submitting an entry to Design Innovation in Plastics, all entrants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions in full.
This website is owned and operated by Design Innovation in Plastics and is intended to provide general information about the competition and details of how to enter. Whilst every care has been made to ensure the content of the website is accurate, DIP cannot guarantee that the website or information contained within is complete or free of errors or viruses or that access to the website will be uninterrupted and without delay. DIP will not be held responsible for any loss, damage or inconvenience whatsoever caused as a result of any inaccuracy or error within these pages.

We limit the collection of the information and processing to what is necessary for the purpose of operating a successful award and its promotion.

We will ask entrants for information when they enter the competition by filling in our entry/registration form. This will include information such as name, university and contact details of entrants and their tutors, e-mail address, telephone number etc.

We will use this information to administer each DIP award entry, including registration and to provide information in response to submitted queries.

We may use this to provide entrants and their tutors with relevant information about the DIP competition, including news and notification of important deadlines or updates.

If entrants or their tutors contact us we may keep a record of that correspondence.

We will contact entrants from time to time to enable us to issue publicity directly concerned with the promotion of the award and its results, both before, during and after the award.

We may contact entrants about a submission or contribution made to our websites or publicity, or at our award ceremony

Entrants shall be entitled at any time to access or amend their personal data by the means of an e-mail/letter to DIP.
How we handle data
IP will not share personal data with third parties without permission.

Information will be held on our systems for as long as is necessary to fulfil the purpose, after which it will be securely deleted, unless we are required to keep the data longer for legal, tax or accounting reasons.

Registration must be completed on or before the published closing date

Names or university/college must not be displayed within the text of the entry.

DIP cannot amend entries once submitted.
