'Roadshows take DIP to students'

Design Innovation in Plastics (DIP) has been out and about, bringing the competition closer to students.

09 Nov 2011

On Tuesday, 25 October, Design Innovation in Plastics visited Northumbria University, Newcastle where up to 60 students learned more about the competition and a host of different materials.  A Youtube video of this event is now available here.

On Wednesday, 10 November, Design Innovation in Plastics is at the headquarters of the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining (IOM³), 1 Carlton House Terrace, London between 12pm and 3pm.
Andrea Postles, for key sponsor Bayer MaterialScience, said: “The brief for the 2012 DIP Award is ‘Universal Design: Designing for the rest of us’ and we hope to see some really outstanding student entries. “These roadshows are an important means of allowing students to find out more about the competition and the materials they are able to use. We had a successful outing to Newcastle and we hope to see many students in London, with even more entering the competition.”

A podcast is also now available for tutors wanting to find out more details about the DIP Awards. This features comments and views from course lecturers and can be viewed here.
